How to Apply

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

  1. Delta Ringette will accept applications from any member (male or female) who is registered with the DRA and in good standing as any of the following:
    • Ringette player and/or
    • Ringette coach who is certified or in the process of becoming certified and/or
    • Active on-ice certified official, and/or
    • Approved Volunteer

  2. Applicants must have demonstrated a commitment to their academic education and must meet the admission requirements of the educational institution or program they will be attending in the fall.

  3. Applicants must be actively volunteering in their community and/or sport.

  4. Applicants may be either male or female, be any age provided they are in their final year of high school or currently attending post-secondary education and will be enrolled full-time in a post-secondary training program, college, or university in the following academic year.

  5. The successful applicant will be someone who has been a positive role model in the Delta Ringette Association, and who best demonstrates sustained commitment, dedication, and passion for the sport of ringette through playing, coaching, officiating and/or other volunteer activities, and who has earned the respect of teammates, coaches, and/or officials for their contributions through leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship.  


APPLICATION PROCEDURE

All items must be received by Delta Ringette on or before June 30, 2026.

  • Complete the online application form.
  • Complete the Ringette Resume.
  • Provide three (3) current reference letters from people (not relatives) highlighting your dedication for ringette and/or the community.
  • Transcripts of marks for the last completed year of your education.
  • Proof of registration as an active player, coach, on-ice official or volunteer for the current playing season.

NOTIFICATION

Delta Ringette and its Scholarship Committee reserve the right to choose not to award the scholarship if the pool of candidates does not meet the criteria outlined or if there are no applicants. The name of the successful applicant will be announced at the Robin Pugsley 3 on 3 Ringette Classic with written confirmation to follow.

Scholarship funds will be released by Delta Ringette Association once confirmation of full-time enrollment in an eligible post-secondary educational institution or program for the upcoming academic year is received, along with proof of final grades for the current academic year. Scholarship funds must be applied to the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded.
